Poll-A-Palooza: Presented by Erin Gallagher. It’s everyone’s favorite way to wrap up a rollicking good time in Charleston! It's an extra-special year, as the End-of-Conference Poll-a-Palooza returns for the fifth time. Do you find yourself brimming with pithy questions, fresh opinions, ardent beliefs, and a renewed spark for libraries at the close of the Charleston conference? Are you hungry for insight and a sense of shared experience (and lunch)? Join us to participate in another rousing wrap-up! Erin Gallagher of Poll-a-Palooza renown will once again captivate you with her use of Poll Everywhere, so bring your smart phones, tablets, laptops, or homing pigeons to participate. She will use Poll Everywhere to create immediate visualizations of your answers to questions significant to libraries and content providers alike. As in years past, the Palooza will include questions relevant to the 2018 Charleston conference as well as questions submitted through the Charleston website. Topics will vary based on conference sessions, your submissions, and Erin's various whims. You will be entertained, engaged, and well-fed, all in the spirit of conference camaraderie and general rabble-rousing. Your brains will be undoubtedly full from the conference, but save a little room for a slice of insight and knowledge on how your views compare with those of your peers. You will leave feeling invigorated, merry, and harmoniously connected to your fellow conference-goers.

Trailer for “A Journal Carol in 3 Parts:” Join us for a look at the past, present, and possible future of the journal. Will we be hopeful at the end of our carol? Three journal Editors in Chief will move through time from the first journal to the present day to speculations of the future.

Barbara Meyers Ford with Anthony Watkinson will share some insights to be gained by the editors as they view the journal's development and what might the journal literature become in the near future.  The entire cast will join Ford and Watkinson at the next Charleston Conference. That session will be one which you won’t want to miss! Coming November 2019 !

Stephen's Takeaways: Join Stephen Rhind-Tutt for a summary and wrap-up of the whirlwind week in Charleston.  What were the trending topics? Major takeaways? Pithy quotes and most talked-about statements? Come find out the answers to all of these questions and more at this 30-minute closing talk.
